Recording Voicemail Greetings

Recording greetings from your own extension

  1. Press the “message” button on your telephone or lift the handset and dial *95.
  2. Enter your voicemail password.
  3. Enter 0 for mailbox options.
  4. Choose the message you want to record by pressing:

1 for the Unavailable message and follow the prompts

2 for the Busy message and follow the prompts

3 for your spoken name and follow the prompts

4 to manage your temporary greeting

                If no temporary greeting exist

                                               The system will prompt you to record your temporary greeting after the beep

After the beep, speak your temporary greeting then press #

                                                                Then the system prompts you to press:

                                                                                1 to accept recording

                                                                                2 to listen to the recording

                                                                                3 to re-record

Note: When you record a temporary greeting, it will override your unavailable greeting until such time you remove the temporary greeting.

If a temporary greeting exist

                                                The voicemail system will notify you that a temporary greeting exist.

Then the voicemail system will prompt you to press:

1 record unavailable greeting

2 record busy greeting

3 record spoken name

4 to manage your temporary greeting

The system will prompt you to enter:

1 to record new temporary greeting

2 to erase your temporary greeting

Note: When you record a temporary greeting, it will override your unavailable greeting until such time you remove the temporary greeting.

Recording greetings from other than your own extension

If you are attempting to remotely access your personal greeting from a different telephone other than your own:

  1. Dial your DID or extension number and wait for your voicemail to answer.
  2. When your voicemail answers, it will play the current unavailable or temporary greeting.
  3. While the greeting is playing depress the “*” key.
  4. The system will prompt for your password.
  5. Enter your password and then follow the prompted options as detailed above.
